Parents,
Maybe you've explored different strategies with your child like reasoning, compassion, or boundary-setting to help them manage their anxiety. However, you're unsure of the most effective course of action or what would genuinely benefit them.
Perhaps you've gone as far as consulting your child’s teacher and counselor or delving into books to understand childhood anxiety, common anxiety disorders, and how to aid your child. However, you now sense the need for more personalized guidance and support.
Or maybe you're experiencing burnout and overwhelming stress, unsure of your next steps for your child. Sometimes, parents start losing sleep as they observe their child's symptoms, signaling a need for increased therapeutic support.
Few events are as anxiety provoking for a parent than a child’s suffering. Especially when you have tried to help and nothing seems to work.
Teenagers and Children,
Perhaps you've been stuck in a cycle of self-doubt, anticipating the future, and thinking about the past. It's an awful feeling, like being paralyzed and missing out on life.
Maybe your discomfort and anxieties have strained your social relationships. Although you would like to be more involved in activities or spending time with friends you find yourself avoiding others.
Or you have tried to learn about anxiety from experts, friends, family, and teachers. However, even when you follow their advice, it doesn't necessarily make you feel better or more understood.
Being a kid or teenager with anxiety can make you feel isolated and unsure if anyone can truly help.
Parents, the first step in seeking help, which has led you here, is recognizing the common symptoms of anxiety in your child. Your attentive parenting in noticing your child's anxiety is a gift to them!
